@iwatchmassvideo I agree but now, a year later. You always get burned if you don’t sell when this many people are bullish & buying with charts looking like they do. Precious metals bubble.

You “gold bugs” are so clueless. Don’t you people understand that gold is manipulated? It willl NEVER trade above $1,000 for more than a few days. I’m heavily short gold.

It’s a few days away from Christmas and the Feds just dropped rates to the lowest in history. Of course gold went up. But as far as our economy, it’s set on recovery. We’ve just about hit bottom.

I think you’re right. I’ve heard a version of that many times and places before. ANother reason I’ve heard is that silver possesses more industrial use properties than gold does. Supposedly its used more frequently in photography materials(?) and other chemical reactions in industry. its intentionally kept in flow to keep the price lower. Thats what I’ve heard. Again, I’m no chemist but…

I think the “reason” people like silver so much long term (around 5-10 years out) is the billion ounces in world reserves could be exhausted.

To put it in perspective, the US had 10 billion ounces in reserves (40 billion worldwide) in 1945.

Today, their reserves are 300 million (1 billion worldwide). My understanding is through selling off, the silver price has been keep fairly low, but that may change.

To what (if at all)? Who knows really… time will tell

PERSONALLY, I think all commodities and futures are going to bust in the upcoming weeks. Oil is dropping dramitically(still high but is coming down), the U.S. economy is starting to show some progress, and the fact the stock market is starting to kick back unbelievably good, this week they gained about 500 points. You cannot keep the U.S. economy down for long, we just go through what every economy in the world goes through, lows and highs. 2000-2002.. low.. 2002-2006 high, now were in a low

Yeah I was pissed I didn’t have the money back in 2004-2005 to buy silver. I was telling my family it’s gonna skyrocket because of China making and buying more electronics.. what do you know 3 years later.. the price jumped from 4.50(low) to $17

Interesting bit of trivia. Did you know that there is only enough gold in the world right now (above ground) to fill a tennis court only two feet deep in gold? If you think about it like that, its not that much.

China has been buying the worlds silver now for a number years. I think thats who bought alot of what Warren Buffet unloaded a few years ago (I can’t prove that, I think I read that recently).I’m certain they have enough to greatly influence market price whenever they want to already. Why buy a crap of silver and not a crap load of gold?
